In the heart of California’s Central Coast sits San Miguel, a small town in the San Luis Obispo County and home to the San Miguel Archangel Mission built in 1797.
San Miguel boasts some great Americana style architecture, from its Mission Market, the Elkhorn Saloon and old barns and corrugated steel buildings.
The San Miguel Chamber of Commerce has hosted for the past 7 years it’s annual Memorial Weekend Car Show and Cruise Night, playing host to the best sheet metal around. This year was the best yet, with over 180 car’s making their way to this great show.
What makes the San Miguel Car Show awesome is not only the great cars that are shown but also the surroundings that help immerse you in that classic nostalgia, the locals do a great job at letting you feel welcome and that creates an awesome vibe.
A great collection of American sheet metal came together, hot rods, street rods, rat rods, survivors, customs and everything in between, just great cars with great stories.
If you find yourself in the Central Coast of California, do yourself a favor and stop by San Miguel, not just for the car show, but for the great vibe the town has.
We would like to thank the San Miguel Chamber of Commerce and the Mumford Family for inviting Gearhead Rover for the second year and also the kind people of the Western States Inn.
